Upgrade Ram

How much does it cost to get a RAM upgrade in Sydney, Australia?
I need to get an upgrade of RAM for my desktop computer pretty old. Currently has 512 (which really is not enough) and I would get 2Gb. Does anyone know what the average price of this be? It's a Dell old.
of a RAM upgrade several things that need to be considered. motherboard of a computer is designed to accept only certain speeds (DDR2-533, DDR2-667, etc.). To find out what speed it is running, you can download this program: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz. php and click on the SPD tab and look under "Maximum Bandwidth" should be something like "PC2-6400 (400MHz)" which is the speed rating you can take to the store and ask. Now, depending on how old your computer, the RAM can be more expensive now. And given the market right now, I seriously suggest you buy a new computer. I'm familiar with … Australia, but here's a link: http://www.sydneycomputershops.com/ hope for help, greetings

When it comes to computers, the most common problem is the speed of operation. When the first user to buy a computer with Windows famous and common systems often based operating was struck by the amount of disk space, graphics card, the fabulous big screen, Nice keyboard and many extras pretty smart sales people are like a whole in order to make the sale.
Savvy computer users understand that the most important in a team, in addition to capacity storage and processing speed is the RAM capacity / speed. RAM stands for "random access memory" Simply put, this is the memory of all applications used to operate once you have started or clicked. If you notice, once an application is opened there is a slight delay between the click and the full swing program, the reason you have to wait a little is because the program is loaded into RAM, and all modules, extensions and plug-ins you use.
Once you open the application "caches" all information in RAM modules instead of the hard drive for RAM can be accessed much information faster than hard disk. As the application uses the data buffer RAM of the computer decreases because other programs may be running and demanding for an area of RAM, so this is why so many people saying "more things to install on your computer becomes slower and true.
If the computer's memory is very little to chance, then the operating system may crash, freeze or display error messages and time of all the famous BSD (screen blue death), when this happens it is often because a program has requested / used a lot of memory resources that were not available or miscoded program because that have been downloaded from the web (freeware)
To optimize your PC must learn to use the task manager, this is the small window, but useful that appears when you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete. In Windows XP, the window opens immediately, however in Vista you need to select the option to start the Manager tasks, "once you have pressed the three key combination. The task manager window will show the amount of memory you have available, the number of running programs and the program is having a lot of memory space and CPU power, if it determines that a particular application is using too much memory or CPU can choose to terminate it, if not a critical system module that is!
Some people know that the popular applications such as Mozilla Firefox has problems memory loss, this is effective until version 2.0, soon to be updated to version 3 and we hope to correct. This useful Web browser is preferred by many users because it is easier to use than Internet Explorer and has fewer security problems, but after a couple of hours of use, the task manager reports increased memory occupied by the application, with only a few tabs (3-6) can use up to 100MB of RAM, if you have 512 MB of RAM this is already 20% of the memory physical, if left open and unused for a long period of time this can go up to 500MB + on machines with more capacity.
To make a long story short, most of the problems you may experience with your computer are directly related to RAM, which is why it is recommended to buy equipment with at least 1 GB of RAM if using Vista (2GB + would be optimal) If your PC does not have this amount of memory it needs to make sure you find compatible modules, that match the speed and number of pins in her mother have RAM slots. Some modules are DDR (Double Data Rate) operating at different speeds (100-200MHz) in newer computers that are used modules are DDR2 or DDR3 working at much higher speeds. If all this sounds like gibberish to you, we recommend contact a computer technician to inspect your computer and do the update that may help your computer run faster and will definitely help to avoid headaches.
