You can probably tell from the title what I get. In the fashion world, when someone says something is the new black, is taken as meaning "is the following, the new ". The same can be said of mobile broadband, with one notable difference. Mobile broadband is not just a fad, and it really is changing the world!
As a natural, ecological system, the Internet evolves, and, crucially, how to access it goes like this. Cast your mind back to the early days when we were all connected to the network using dialup (and if you remember dial-up, I envy you!). Believe me, was not fun trying to use an Internet connection was slow enough to be overcome by an asthmatic snail. Images take ages to load, and as for watching YouTube videos … forget it!
Oh, what a breath of fresh air that was unleashed when broadband in the world! At last I had a system that gave us a decent speed to view the web. Broadband itself evolved, and WiFi entered the scene, using wireless routers and WiFi access points for that type of "Internet phones, provided they do not stray too far from the wireless router.
The next big breakthrough, surprisingly, came from the world mobile phones with the technology known as 3G, much faster, higher bandwidth means to access data in motion. That, too, became what is known as HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access which, for lovers of techno – there). And there is where our story started mobile broadband, it is HSDPA which makes it possible.
You see, mobile broadband broadband is a technology that does exactly what it says on the tin. Is broadband Internet access, and can be used while in motion, while you are phones. There are several things that make a winning technology, but can be reduced to a few key facts. First, broadband is adequate, giving you speeds up to now, 7.2 Mbps, and in the future, to 14.4Mbps. Secondly, it is truly mobile, as it uses the cell towers used by mobile phones. That means no more hunting around to find a WiFi hotspot! And finally, it is easy to configure, because the setup procedure to plug the USB modem in and that's all. Basically, we think this way: when you compare the mobile mobile broadband, then always going to be second fiddle, along with a dedicated team. But compare mobile broadband connection to your home, and quite possibly might even be better than what you have at home!
