No thermal grease required?
Im building my own computer now and realize that my instructions include thermal grease board, however my CPU instructions do not. when I was taking the heatsink off, I realized that the heat sink already has what appears to be a type of thermal paste. Do I need thermal grease anyway?
If an Intel CPU or AMD CPU over 1.8 GHz, then apply thermal grease anyway. Since the CPU will run much better at a lower temperature and prevent any disaster that may occur. But if your heat sink already has it in him, then I think we should be well.
