Should I install RAM (memory) upgrade on my MacBook Pro before or after starting in the first place?

I ordered a new 13-inch MPB Amazon and also ordered 4 GB RAM memory upgrade crucial. Should I install the RAM before or after the first boot? Or even make a difference?

Not make a difference if installed before or after the first start. I would like to start first to ensure that the computer is started before to try a memory upgrade though. If the boots before the upgrade, but after installing the wrong memory or (worse) destroyed the new computer failure to follow safety precautions. If not start before the upgrade, you should not attempt the upgrade, because the computer does not work first.
