Why are my stereo speakers to be crunchy?
My speakers make a loud static / crackling when I turn on my stereo. Is it a bad cable connection, or is it because my stereo is getting old? I got it, probably about eight years ago. There are car speakers, are part of a home stereo system. Aiwa. And since they're in my room in my house, I never played the music loud in them.
Seniors stereos that "the use analog" (rotary, not digital), volume controls are nortorious for cracks and static. Looking at the static worse, while adjusting the volume control that has a messy and can solve the problem with some electronic Cleaner. If you notice the noise when you move the speakers try reterminating connections. If the noise is random, so your stereo can only be sucumbing the ravages of old age. That is a shame because the old is much better than the shit they do today!
