How many songs can I store on my PC before it starts to affect the performance of my computer?
I have a Hewlett Packard s7700n, with a processor Anthalon AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 3800 + 2.00 Ghz. It has 894 MB of RAM and 250 GB of storage, 226 GB of which are currently vacant. I'm running Windows Vista. Can someone give me a rough idea of how many music files (songs) that I store on my computer before it starts to affect the performance of my computer?
After crossing the midpoint in the memory of the sum is when I start to notice. I have a PC at home. At work I use Macs and they all have 250 GB and have no problem to that no less than 85-87. I try to keep on 90. There on the Mac, because I never use only 32 GB left and runs slowly. In short, try to keep less half and reached the final 1/4th what it really becomes a problem.
