bought a new RAM (same RAM on board) for my laptop but not working

Hey guys, I just bought a new 512 MB DDR2 533MHz RAM for my laptop. to insert the new RAM and started the laptop, does not appear on the screen … not even the startup screen with the things in the bios and everything. I have the same ram on board, but the problem only comes with the new. i went to the site and update my BIOS. oh ya … my laptop is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V3515, if that helps, thanks in advance

im running the f / s ESPRIMO V5515 and had probs Simmler lamb again and asked for replacement, as he thought it was crucial defective (where I bought it) sent a replacement and it worked well. so you may have a defective strip

M16C microcontrollers
The M16C is a 16-bit embedded microcontroller originally developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. It is available in several different versions, with different amounts of flash memory and uses the same set instruction across the spectrum that allows application developers to maintain the same code base and development tools.
R8C microcontrollers
The R8C is a 16-bit microcontroller that has developed as a smaller version and cheapest of the M16C. It retains the M16C CISC 16-bit architecture and instruction set, but size trades for compliance by reducing the internal data bus of 16 bits to 8 bits. It is available in several different versions with a maximum of 128 KB of flash memory and SRAM.
All R8C have internal ring oscillator and can be used without an external resonator. Common interfaces are UART and the R8C/22 and R8C/23 devices have CAN interfaces. Some devices have internal data flash is meant as a replacement for a number of EEPROM, though it handles less write cycles as a serial EEPROM real. The M32C is an integrated microcontroller 16/32 originally developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation as a 32-bit version of the M16C. It is available in several different versions with up to 1 MB Flash memory and up to 48KB of RAM.
