Processor Upgrade
VISTA boot after processor upgrade?

I have Vista Ultimate installed right and now I'm looking to upgrade my dual processor quad-core. I wonder if Vista still boot afterwords, or is the processor enough to update the methods of combating piracy in Vista to initiate and prohibit the computer to boot?

With Vista, you must remember that if there is a significant hardware change to your computer, you will be prompted to enter your password Product for Vista. So be sure to keep on hand … Beyond that, his experience should be transparent.

Should I Throw This Out PC or upgrade

Part 1 – Clean / Optimization

Ok.   So the team is getting on her last nerve. It's slow, it takes forever to boot, programs are slow, crashes frequently and without reason, video and audio playback is slow and seem to "jump", the Internet seems …. So lethargic you say to yourself "Maybe it's time for a new team!"

Not so fast. A new computer can not be the only answer to their problems. Your team may only need cleaning and optimization, or may be in need of an update. Most people do not realize that their team has on the rights and responsibilities as an addition to use or "growing".   Every time you load a new program, or browse Site of certain files are added to the register or saved to your computer. The bigger the registry gets and the more files on your computer directly affect the speed the team is. There are several things you can do to clean and optimize your computer. Doing this will improve performance. Here are some examples of things you can do to "clean" your computer. If you are not familiar with these procedures or do not feel comfortable doing them, call or contact one of the providers listed at the end of the article and who can do this for you for a very viable.

1. Uninstall unused programs    If you go to your panel control and click Add / Remove Programs icon, a list that will show most of the programs installed on your machine. Clicking on the name of a program in particular is highlighted and you can then choose to uninstall it. Uninstall anything you do not actually use … For example, if you used to use AOL as ISP and now have cable or providers of Internet phone service, then the AOL program and all its features are no longer required (unless you prefer to use the AOL interface instead of using a standalone browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, etc.)

2. Check and uninstall Stealth programs   – I call them "Stealth" because often programs are installed without user's knowledge. For example, when you download the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe, there's a little check mark that appears that says "install the Toolbar Google ". Please read carefully through all the screens, this program is installed, even if you can not get everything it wanted. Many programs install from the Internet have "ins" that can slip by you if you're not careful …. So for those of verification and elimination.

3. Delete your temporary Internet files   – Each and every time you access the Internet and visit a website, files are stored on your computer. The purpose of these files is to store some of the images and other parts of the page so that when you visit the site again, loads faster because the files can be extracted from your machine. Periodically, these files must be removed. Depending on how much surfing you do, these files can take up a lot of space and thus slow your computer.

4. Eliminate unwanted unnecessary files   – To carry out the processes that you ask your team to carry out, uses three main components, processor, memory and hard disk. The three components work in conjunction to carry out any process or function that asks the team to carry out.   Remove old, outdated, unwanted files from your computer free disk space that in turn allows your hard drive to perform better and will allow your computer to operate best.

5. Perform a "defrag" – a "defrag" or cleaning the disc passes through the areas of the hard disk and releases unused space and speeds how files are stored on your computer. The hard drive is activated to the files found fragmented (parts of a file in one place and the parties in another) and repositions them to be streamlined and grouped. This process allows the hard drive to perform better and will allow your team to work better.

6. Run "msconfig" – Running MsConfig our team it will identify programs and features starts when the computer starts. In most cases, you will find that not all programs lists you want or need and, as I mentioned before, every little thing that runs or starts when you start your computer contributes to the degradation of speed.

Follow these steps and see a small improvement in performance of their machines. Is it enough to make you want to stick with that old machine? Good, this is for you to decide. If so, great! If not, maybe you should update. Check out Part 2 of this article that discuss the benefits of the upgrade. Meanwhile, larger for answers to their computing problems …. Check out her blog and maybe we will write an article that addresses their needs specific!
