Connect XFX 9800GT to 4-pin Molex to 6 pin PCI-e?
Hey the card comes with something that said "we recommend using the included cable." The cable is 6-pin to two 4 pin molex. It was to be as good or better off with only 6-pin PCI-E my power supply has? Also can someone tell me how hot it must be at the maximum? It is idle to 69C with fan at 33% automatic. I see only a 6-pin PCI-E in this connector.
Yes, you could use the PCI-E rail but if i rememver correctly the 9800 requires both a 6-pin and 8 pin PCI-E rails, make sure your PSU has both sense and will probably underpowered not even run!
