How can I get a wireless router hidden be recognized by my PCMCIA adapter and not have to rewrite thess
I have a laptop adapter can not store the SSID of my router and every time I turn on my laptop I have to write the name of the router plus entryption hidden WEP. any idea how solve this annoying exercise again and again?
You're probably better off turning SSID broadcasting and enabling WPA if the router supports. Encryption WEP, as I'm sure you've heard, is very weak, and hardly worth using, but it's better than nothing. However, most contemporary wireless routers support WPA-PSK (TKIP y), and it is very difficult to configure. * IF * you use a secure password and keep it secure, WPA-PSK can provide strong security for wireless connection.
