ATI is working with NVIDIA motherboards?

IM planning to buy either a Radeon 4670 or Radeon 3870. and my motherboard is MSI P6NGM and is based on the NVIDIA chipset. ATI card will run on this board? or nividia graphics cards to run smoother than the cards ATI?
