I need a DC motor 1 / 2 HP and a solar panel that can replace my evaporative cooler engine.?
One company wants $ 5K to install solar power a refrigerator, but I just want to buy the DC motor and the panel and will not sell those to me. Where can I find parts I need. I want to save energy.
If the engine is actually 1 / 2 HP, then that's around 400 watts, realistically maybe 300 when it executes. Many engines of this size are really "universal" motors, and works well outside of DC. I will not give any guarantee that it will work, and most likely nobody will. Also had to develop about 100 volts DC, which is 4 Grid-Tie type panels in series. To give room when the sun is absolutely brilliant, you'll probably want 5 or 6 panels. But I do not know what would happen at dawn, when there will be a very low voltage in the motor. Perhaps it would be nice. If not, requires a driver to disconnect the panels when the sun is not bright enough. In addition, they want some protection for groups against inductive lack the engine can produce. This is starting to sound like it would cost a significant fraction of $ 5000 already, with most of the cost of the panels, that would be $ 500 – $ 1000 each, depending on the kind you get. It might work, if your goal is to save energy. If your goal is to save money, that sounds difficult.

Motor Home Exploration in the Mojave
The Mojave Desert is one of the best places in America to see spectacular scenery. It is in an only, comprising the barrier between the low Sonoran Desert hot and cold, high in the Great Basin of Nevada and Utah. It covers 25,000 square miles and extends into the California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah.
You could imagine a large flat, featureless landscape of sand and rock, but that's just the point of view road. In fact, the Mojave is full of desert wildflowers, majestic mountains and lots of variety of landscapes. This includes Mojave Mojave Desert, Death Valley, Joshua Tree National Park and the area of Lake Mead. The area is defined by geographic indicator, Joshua Tree. You will not see these trees in the desert rather anywhere in the world.
The main area of the Mojave desert is a strip of very in southern California between highways 15 and 40, east of Barstow and west of needles. In the east, sits right against the Arizona border.
Death Valley
What do you imagine when you hear that? Parched hikers, circling vultures waiting for someone to drop dead, a cow skull in the dust perhaps. Well, do not let the name fool you. Death Valley is one of the landscapes most beautiful desert the great continent of North America has to offer.
Not everything is death and decay in Death Valley. In fact, the valley has some rare animals and plants you will not find any more. It also has some of the desert completely unchanged last in the country.
One of the things that makes Death Valley is so interesting is that much variety in just 3 million meters square. It has mountain peaks, including Telescope Peak 11,000 footer, and also the lowest point in North America, about 300 meters below sea level.
Do not let the name scare you. Death Valley was named by miners trying to cross to reach California during the gold rush. Many of them were not prepared, and none of them arrived with a fully equipped camper to cool during the hot days!
Joshua Tree National Park
One reason for the Joshua Tree is a unique environment that is at the crossroads between the Mojave Desert and Colorado to the east. Joshua Tree offers all wild landscapes you could want, from the windswept plains of the giant rock formations in strange shapes. It is a wonderful place to see a sunset color through miles of wild, windswept sand with palm trees standing around your RV.
Compared to Death Valley and other parts of the western desert, Joshua Tree is very green and colorful. It is full of wild flowers, yuccas, cacti, shrubs and Joshua trees famous themselves. You can climb on the barren rocks or among pines. The variety of natural resources in Joshua Tree beauty is what makes it so popular.
Where to Stay
Your best bet in the Valley of Death is staying in one of the many RV parks in Death Valley National Park. You may contact the park directly or visit their website. The best of Death Valley is that most parks are open all year. Some of the more popular ones include Furnace Creek, which is located about 200 meters below sea level, Panamint Springs Campground or RV camp Wells crown. If you want to be a little higher, test mahogany linearly up to 8,000 meters, but be advised that they are not open all year, and you should have a tall vehicle.
In Joshua Tree, most RV parks are Recommended Desert Springs Spa and RV Park, Sam's Family Spa or Sands RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs, and Yucca Valley RV Park in Yucca Valley.
