Motherboard Memory
Memory board?
I just installed another 512MB memory on my PC (which means a total of 1GB of memory) and see a drastic change in speed. I looked my mother's book and tells me that user can install up to 1GB memory, the accuracy is that or can I install more than that? If I had to take one of the 512 out and get a 1GB memory that mess my system? Thanks
Check with the M / B manufacturer. It is marginally possible that your machine could have 1GB sticks, but not likely. If more than 512, putting a bigger stick in a slot that does not "spoil" the team itself, but it will not boot until you put the module correct size in the slot.

The effect is contagious. Anyone who is interested in the technology are talking about the release of Intel Core i7 (Nehalem) processors, scheduled to be launched in November 2008. One of the main reasons why everyone is excited about this release is that the Intel Core i7 is drastically different from previous generations of the CPU.
The first noticeable difference is that the Intel Core i7 motherboard requires a supporting QuickPath. QuickPath is a technology that provides a point high speed links to the shared memory. This means you can expect outstanding memory performance. The Intel X58 and X58 motherboards from MSI both QuickPath support.
The second notable difference is that the memory controller is on the processor, not a separate chip. This means that the memory is directly connected to the CPU for better performance.
Many supporters of the technology are eager to experience the performance that the promise of 4 cores. Each of the 4 cores can process 2 threads simultaneously. For the operating system, the CPU appears as 8 processors.
The Core i7 only supports DDR3 RAM. Looking to synchronize with the launch date of Intel Core i7 processors, memory manufacturers, such as G. Skill in Taiwan have launched compatible 3GB and 6GB triple-channel kits of DDR3 memory. These memory kits have been perfectly timed to coincide with the Intel Core i7 and the motherboard chipset X58. As of writing, pricing and availability details not yet been announced.
But fans should not have to wait too long as Intel Core i7 processor and is programmed to be released in November. X58 motherboards are available now, and everyone is waiting in anticipation for the launch of next-generation processor.
When you put all three components together, the X58 chipset motherboard, the Intel Core i7 and triple channel DDR3 memory, you get a machine of immense power with impressive computational power.
Each component offers a range of performance capabilities that can be adjusted and optimized. For this reason, overclockers, gamers and fans will be very difficult to resist owning these components of cutting-edge hardware. Business Overclocking a computer can be risky as incorrect settings can potentially damage the hardware. This is largely because the default cooling solutions are not fully developed to handle excess heat from overclocking. However, for high-end hardware just mentioned, better cooling technology has improved so that less cooling is required.
