In recent years, we at Technetium, Inc. have had the opportunity to deal with snap because of our model 14000 Snap servers. One day, we installed new managed switches and add Web-based management console no longer work. Just hang to Gigabit speed. To make a long story short, after to exhaust all my options on the Internet, send a complement of technical support an email to try to resolve the problem. Here's his reply:
His case, 000000000005476, has been updated. Please refer to the information below for our response. Please click here if you need further assistance on this issue.

He 2 complement 12000s and they will not negotiate 1000TX to my Dell PowerConnect 5324 switch. I am afraid to configure the NIC in debugging for anything but automatic.
It also shows half duplex when the switch Sample full duplex.
Thanks in advance

Our response:
Good morning Todd.
Again, this is the non-technical support. We can be reached in a payment of $ 120.00 per incident through our 2 numbers: 408-934-7274 and 321-207-2000.
Sincerely,
Adaptec Customer Service
To my dismay, they wanted $ 120 just to talk with me, and my guess is they wanted another $ 1,000 or more to update the software. On their website I could find no way to buy support for this model more. And, of course, to add the replication between 2 of their Snap servers, would cost something like $ 1000 per case.
So, here we are, with 2 boxes, unsupported, and I bet you can not even buy parties for more than Snap, much less anywhere else (maybe eBay?).
There are going to buy new replacements NAS. Originally, these 14,000 's were $ 10K each about 1 TB of storage. All things being equal, I should be able to buy a NAS box to the right really cheap (yeah!). What found was that a high quality NAS RAID 5 system would cost between $ 3,500 and 4,500, not to mention that a supplement of 1 TB 520 Series over $ 5K. That is, when we decided to create our own servers NAS!
With a great backround in PC / server hardware, it was easy for me the first selection of hardware and brand quality components. I still have Pentium Pro servers running! I chose the best hardware, put it in a rack mount server case, and voila! I a NAS. Here is the list of components:
* Redo FreeNAS to work with the hardware we offer
* Kingwin 4 in 3 Multi-Drive Bay SATA Internal Hot Swap Mobile Rack, w / Keylock, and two 40mm LED Cooling Fans
* SONY Beige DDU1615 Internal EIDE 16X DVD-ROM Drive
* Enermax ELT500AWT 500W Power Supply
* 4U Rackmount Chassis IPC-4071 Server Case – Beige Color
* TS256MCF45I Transcend flash memory-card D
* 4 ea. Seagate (ST3500630NS) 500 GB SATA 3.0Gb / s 7200RPM 16MB Pula hard
* ADSACFW Addonics CF to SATA adapter
* SUPERMICRO | MBD-PDSME +
3Ware 9650SE-4LPML * SATAII RAID controller
* INTEL Xeon 3060 775 2.4G 4M
* 1Gx2 | DII667 Kingston KVR667D2N5K2/2G
We now have an operating system, so I took FreeNAS (target = "_blank"> http://www.freenas.org) that runs on FreeBSD. You can not ask for a more stable operating system. And indeed, the FreeNAS operating system is memory and boots from a CF card opportunity (not the hard drive crash and the destruction of the configuration). This custom built NAS system has become is serious, and our customer is very satisfied with the money we saved.
