My motherboard supports dual channel DDR2 memory with four DIMM slots. How can I get better 4GB of memory?
Should I get four modules or two 1GB memory modules 2 GB of memory? Is there a difference? Why do I only have 3.25GB of RAM, when actually I have 4 GB? By I am running a Windows XP Professional 32-Bit Edition.
You have to know 2 things.First if your computer supports 4GB of memory and the second how many GB can see.Got slot crucial.com and use the system scanner to find out. You can not see more than 3.25 GB of memory, because 32-bit operating systems can not address more than that. Either configuration is two channels while the sticks are identical
