How do I match the memory chips memory slots, motherboard?
I have two memory cards. i each GB DDR 400 PC3200. They used to be 939 on a Gigabyte GA K8nsc that I died. I use memory, but can not find the motherboard I had before. I wonder if there is another motherboard may accommodate the memory.
Yes, there are hundreds out there. I would check, but I think that DDR has two notches in the slots of DDR2 RAM, while only one one notch on the RAM slots. (find a motherboard that has two notches in each slot of RAM)

Core 2 Conroe is an incredible process, and updating the highly successful Penryn architecture was taken from 65nm to 45 nm. Smaller trails for electrons means higher data speeds and 45nm processors in the Core 2 flowered. That said, it's time for the successful Penryn and Conroe architectures of retirees.
The Conroe that he had in the desktop market was amazing, the NetBurst architecture is a disaster that was the good name of Intel mud become so when Conroe was released, Intel fan boys happy. It could again say with pride that had an Intel chip in your platform.
The performance difference between Conroe and Prescott was considerable, but, as in the nature of the processors, its nothing compared with the performance difference between Conroe / Penryn and Nehalem. Before dissecting the finer points of the new chip, you need to take a brief look at the chips, which brought us to this point.
An integral part of the Intel roadmap is the distinction of a processor, either as a tick or a tock. The Intel Core architecture formerly known as Merom, for example, was a tap, which means it was a processor with a new micro-architecture. Penryn is a tick, which means that was more than a new application process, and in this case was 45 nm manufacturing process. Intel then took all his experience and started designing in the Nehalem, a tac.
Nehalem in fact, to be designed before Penryn. A cycle begins tac design before tick tock of the past has even begun. The team in charge of the tick then all the features being implemented in the future and then simply tack decide which of the new features that can be incorporated into processor ticks. So now, after five years in the development of Nehalem is only few months away from being released to the public.
The name is i7, Core i7
Intel has, in recent months, published a constant flow of information on the new Nehalem architecture. One of the last pieces of the giant out of Santa Clara is the name for the new chip. Nehalem is the architecture codenamed after all, and although these names usually stick to the nomenclature of market will be Core i7. It seems that Intel is tight lipped on the new naming scheme, but has promised to clear once the rest of the new line-up is revealed.
So what features can be expect from the new Core i7? Most notable is the speed of the course. Intel finally has designed a chip with an on-die memory controller. This contributes to memory Triple Channel, and motherboards with six DIMM slots that have been detected. If you do your number on the right and think about placing memory modules 4 GB on a bulletin board as which you could get a staggering 24 GB of memory, Vista fans rejoice. However, there is a downside, Intel in their infinite wisdom, has only included official support for DDR3-1066, but strangely is said that the performance increases with faster memory controllers despite the apparent lack of support.
Furthermore, the use of an on-die memory controller has meant a change in the architecture of support, especially to the motherboard and route of communication called traditional front-side bus. Proponents of the much faster and efficient systems can now rejoice that Intel Core i7 is equipped with a communication system Internal known as Quick Path Interconnect or QPI for short. QPI is very similar to AMD's HyperTransport, which is something that AMD has had for some time and the on-die controller memory (this is a fact AMD likes to point out). The use of BMI has caused memory bandwidth to achieving an amazing 12 GB / S, which is huge considering that the up to an Intel QX9770 could achieve 6.9GB / S, however, these figures pale in comparison to observe the bandwidth offered by QPI over its predecessor, the FSB. The QPI bandwidth is 25.6 GB / S, which is no less than twice the theoretical bandwidth of the X48 chipset. Intel has actually been done himself with this.
HyperThreading working
One feature that we return to Intel processors is Intel HyperThreading or call now to work executed simultaneously. You may remember that HyperThreading was conducted in the Pentium 4 with very unpleasant results. A performance increase of around 5% is an average for this supposedly amazing technology. The use of SMT in the new Core i7 chips and we can say that now works.
While performance results are involved in legal proceedings, we can say is that if Intel was showing what was not adjusted, SMT, finally works and Oh Boy works well. Intel refers to SMT as most of the characteristic energy efficient performance for Core i7 is able to keep the motor running fed by multiple threads, so the processor does not receive a single nanosecond at idle. Intel says the biggest problem with Pentium 4 HT is that the cache was not large enough and the memory bandwidth is insufficient, because there are more cache on the Core i7 and memory bandwidth is huge SMT / HT finally works.
The real benefit of SMT is that it costs very little in terms of silicon and is much easier to apply instead to squeeze another core on the die.
