Is there any thermal paste on a CPU Intel recently bought?
I just purchased a new Intel Quad Core Q9300 and there is some thermal paste provided, I think you can see some at the bottom of the heat sink in what looks like a copper disk, I can not fit the heat sink is. If it sticks I have to spread
A box retail is not the thermal paste / pad included. There should be instructions on how to connect them included too. If you bought an aftermarket cooler, but should also come with some type of paste / pad. If you have a price that you can buy separately, Arctic Silver is one I've used before. Check your web site for instructions on how to apply to the quad cores, its different than it used to be with individual nuclei.

The time is rapidly becoming the components of most PC nubile young things withered old age. It's just the way of the world. But this Asus board. Arguably it is even more daring than it was at launch. It's enough to make you wonder if there is a portrait of a dried powder and P5K3 hidden in the attic.
The reason for the status P5K3 Dorian Gray, of course, is that the Intel P35 chipset has not yet been eclipsed for overclocking pure. Meanwhile, only gets cheaper. In particular, MSI has also opted for DDR2 memory instead of DDR3 memory support, which certainly makes more sense at this price.
The existence of Asus P5K3, flattens the raw P35 Platinum for overclocking, however. Of course, a bus speed of 475MHz is far to be poor. But the additional 50MHz Asus gets basically maximizes performance of Intel's Core 2 chips cheaper.
