Graphic Video

No graphic / video cards work together if we have two graphics cards?
First, my computer a little old. It has a PCI slot (not PCI-E x16 or) My motherboard already has this crappy video card built into it and found these 2 empty PCI slots and I was hoping to get a card new graph. If I get two graphics cards, performance will be twice as good compared to just one?
No, I think not .. all that can do is "push" other / second monitor.
