Fujitsu LifeBook C1020 problem?
I have a Fujitsu LifeBook C1020. I have to replace the CD, however I have removed all the screws, but still can not reach the depths laptop. I was wondering if anyone knows how this type of portable openup? Thank you! I can not remove the CD pulling him. It slides out and tried several angles. I can not get it to move an inch (actually just have to know how to get if off)
I do not think you need to break your laptop to replace it, just look around and underneath the CD to see you take it out. I looking for his problem. See the following link, which takes you to a page where you can contact about Fujitsu CD-ROM of elimination. http://www.computers.us.fujitsu.com/www/contact.shtml?contact

Among the features that will not do in the next version is a journaling file system – a feature that tracks changes in operating system to speed recovery from accidents and easier. Windows NT and most commercial versions of Unix have that feature, and Torvalds said at least two development efforts are underway to bring Linux.
Lithium sulfur batteries can store much more energy than the lithium-ion models. However, HP laptop batteries built using that technology only last up to 60 recharge cycles, said Mark Jost, vice president of marketing at Sion Power. Sion hopes to extend the recharge cycles of lithium sulfide to the standards set by the lithium ion, but the Tucson, Arizona, the company expects to begin production of lithium sulfur batteries until the first half of 2008, he said.
A design screen that is considered is a flat, flexible printed display developed at MIT Media Lab. Negroponte said the technology can be used to produce displays that cost about 10 cents per square inch. "The goal is $ 12 for a 12 inch with almost zero energy consumption," he said.
Bob Moore, marketing manager for Gateway, said the 14.1-inch display will become standard for all notebooks from the company next year.
Dell has made a few compromises, however. To keep cool Pentium III-M chip, adding a heat pipe and fan to evacuate the heat from the chip. Dell also removed the parallel port, a device used to connect a printer, that is, users must print over a network, connected through a docking station printer or use a universal serial bus.
Furthermore, the OLPC people talk about Windows compatibility – Windows XP, at least – and is unlikely to be any Windows XP-compatible hardware platform capable of achieving a 1W average power consumption figure in 2010 … no matter the 1/4W or less that would be available for the processor and chipset with two LCDs running (even without the backlight).
Often, failure is the price. Much of the appeal The Asus Eee was the low original price. HP is probably the biggest culprit here, the Mini-Note 2133 KR948UT out at $ 949 and only had its price reduced to $ 789.
It's the newly announced Fujitsu LifeBook P7230, an update to the LifeBook P7120 we reviewed almost a year ago. The new ultra-lightweight and maintains the built-in the optical drive you liked its predecessor, but adds features such as attractive as LED backlighting for 10.6-inch screen and an optional integrated Webcam. You can also choose a black or a white version to match your aesthetic scheme.
Like the company, the second gene in improvements XFR the device are incremental and in some cases, slightly experimental. The XFR E6400 is the name of what used to be the Latitude XFR D630. The laptop receives an internal TuneUp, presuming more processing power (Intel Core2Duo), discrete graphics enabled by better cooling. The new XFR also maintains most of its features Original: touchscreen, solid state disk, mobile broadband, GPS and long battery life. In this case, Dell says battery hold additional the laptop's battery going for up to 13 hours.
It seems that the holidays have come early cheap laptop for hunters: Gateway today announced 15.4-inch, which will cost only $ 699 through Dec. 28. At that price, the NX570X comes equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Core Duo T2050 processor, 512MB of fast 667MHz RAM, a 80GB, 5,400 rpm hard drive, integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics, and a recorder CD. That's not exactly an amazing setting, but is quite respectable, given most laptops in the sub-series cost $ 800 with components older generations and missing features.
A little over a year after the release of the MacBook Air, a laptop, luxury arrived from Dell. This requires another look at the argument against Netbook laptop, the computer equivalent of the bourgeoisie versus proletariat. In this case, Air versus Aspire; Adamo against Eee.
The XO-2 could be based on certain phones, like the chipset, but that would sacrifice Windows XP compatibility. And if there is an XP with ability of low-power chipset on the market in 2010, is also likely to be used in more traditional laptops and mobile Internet devices. Similarly, the technology behind the XO-1 LCD is likely to be more widely used in the coming years. In other words, the XO-2 is not likely to get a significant advantage in this regard on competitive platforms.
Ultraportable also tend to have less room to tighten a HP PAVILION DV1600 BATTERY, resulting in smaller batteries and reduced time for portable power. Dell Reports 3 to 3.5 hours duration the battery for the new C400. An optional lithium-ion polymer battery plate that attaches to the bottom of the C400 extends the life of the battery.
Both 13.3-inch screens and 14.1 inch XGA LCD enabling use the screen to display more visible surface. For example, a spreadsheet user be able to see more columns on screen XGA due to finer resolution.
Another feature is that it will not support 64-bit Intel next? Merced? chip, which will not be ready in time for 2.4. "The port Merced apparently going very well," he said, though he is not among the people that have signed non-disclosure agreement for Intel to gain access to the inner workings of the chip.
