Dell Latitude C600 Fan-How to know if I need a new one?
I've noticed that my Dell Latitude C600 gets very hot when left for long. I have not noticed the fan running at all. Does this mean I need a new fan? Is there something wrong with the motherboard? A lot of websites that hot anyway just Dell developed. I really want to sell but the buyer did not purchase, unless the fan is fixed. A new fan to solve the problem or something else?
Is dust may obstruct the path of cooling, or the fan may be broken. It's not your motherboard. Unless you have experience with the laptop disassemly probably should take it to a shop. I changed the fan assembly in my wife's laptop, and found I had almost completely disassemble the laptop to do so.
