The personal computer is constantly changing with such component upgrades for memory, CPU speed and hard drive capacity. And video screen is not the exception.
The video display on a graphics card, monitor, and Bus.If you are wondering what the heck is a bus on any screen video, data along the route that data moves inside, outside and inside the computer.
This data is sent from the motherboard and cpu, the graphics card, travels along the data path or bus, the Monitor, where our eyes can see it.the data bus is in part responsible for our hard and fast graphics of our favorite games are shown.
No matter how fast the CPU chip or the graphics card can send data if the bus becomes too small and prevents data travels fast. This causes a bottleneck of data when the graphics card sends data faster than the bus can enable that trip.
The first bus was introduced by IBM or International Business Machines and was called ISA.The standard bus architecture of the industry was slow and weak, because it sends data to only 4MHz.
But he was paired with the CPU chip high speed day.The average CPU during this time was around 4.77MHz. This bus was in 1981, IBM created a faster bus shortly after a 16-bit bus with a CPU speed of 8 to 10 MHz, three years later.
By this time, many other computer manufacturers were building computers that use the design of IBM and IBM quickly responded to competition by a property of
bus called the MCA or Micro Channel Architecture.
When IBM built buses that means that they built hardware or software, in this case, buses, owned and controlled by a single individual or organization.
The bus technology occurred in the following order.
1983 IBM introduced the ISA bus, and in 1984 the fastest 16-bit ISA bus arrived. Then MCA in 1987 The 32-bit bus showed up.And in 1988, Compaq and other PC makers launched EISA 32 bit or Extended Industry Standard Architecture bus
1993, we brought the Video Electronics Standards Association, or VESA Bus.This year also allowed the release of the PCI or personal computer bus interconnection.
And in 1996, when the CPA or advanced graphics port, while 1998 brought us the AGP 2.0 and 2002 came, you got it, 3.0 AGP data bus.
Finally, in 2005 Intel and AMD introduced the computers running at speeds of 4Gigabytes or more.At these speeds the AGP port presented to the deceleration of the data.
So people of Intel put their heads together and came up with the bus staff PCIe.The Express. The interconnected computer is like PCI, but uses a serial port while using PCI parallel ports.
Parallel ports send data in blocks and serial ports send data time. With one at the PCI bus, each slot to share a maximum of 132 MB per second and allow each to have 250 PCIe megabytes per second to send data.
PCIe is designed to be used as local interconnection only.As based on the existing PCI system, cards, and systems can be adapted to PCI Express without any change in the higher speeds in software. The PCIe will replace almost all existing buses.
Almost all the high-end graphics cards today in 2006, AIT and NVIDIA use PCI NVIDIA Express. And use faster data transfer of PCIe for SLI or technology Scalable Link Interface.
This technology allows two graphics cards and chip model number that they ran at the same time. This great increase in performance as never imagined.
Unless done, ATI entered the scene with its system of dual GPU or graphics processing unit called the crossfire.
As can see, the PCI Express bus is faster and if possible, to buy the following equipment, make sure that comes with PCI Express slots.
The AGP data bus was fast compared with PCI, but both are away.So discoloration is very beneficial for you if you know and understand the PCIe in every detail.
